UPDATE: Matraca Vrana’s jury selection was scheduled to take place today, but that was continued upon the request of the defense. Jury selection is scheduled for the fall.
Tyson Rosario’s jury selection was cancelled as he entered a guilty plea to a charge of assault by a prisoner. He was ordered to serve 18-36 months in state prison on the charge.

Jury selection is scheduled to start today for a Blairsville woman who is charged with criminal homicide and other crimes related to a shooting in Blairsville in September of 2021.
29-year-old Matraca Lynn Vrana is charged in connection with the shooting death of her boyfriend, 27-year-old Matthew Hill during a domestic incident in an apartment they shared on Barnview Circle on September 10th of 2021. State police said that during the argument, Vrana picked up a rifle and fired a shot at Hill. Along with criminal homicide, Vrana is charged with voluntary manslaughter, aggravated assault-serious bodily injury and discharging a firearm into an occupied structure.
Jury selection is also scheduled for today for the trial of Tyson Rosario. The 22-year-old man currently lodged in the Indiana County Jail is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, simple assault, assault by a prisoner and harassment for an incident on Semptember 11th of 2022. Rosario was in the state prison system at the time serving a sentence for cases involving a theft and drugs.
