The Indiana Borough Public Works department is getting ready to start picking up Christmas trees from borough residents.
Dave Fairman from the public works department said the collections will be done by ward, with the first ward being picked up on Tuesday, Fourth Ward on Wednesday, 2nd Ward on Thursday and 3rd Ward on Friday. Trees are to be put where you would normally put your garbage.
Fairman also announced another successful round of leaf pickups. 164 tons of leaves were collected by borough work crews. Those leaves were taken to the Indiana County Recycling Center for composting.
