This weekend could be a lucrative one for lottery players.
Tonight is the Mega Millions drawing and that top prize is now up to $476 million annuity or $256 million cash option. The last time the jackpot was hit by correctly selecting all five regular numbers and the Mega Ball was on January 31st, when a $31 million jackpot was won by the S&L Trust group in Massachusetts. The largest Mega Millions jackpot won on a single ticket was a $1.537 billion prize won by someone in South Carolina in 2018.
And lottery players are also keeping an eye on the jackpot for the Powerball game, as that jackpot has reached $219 million. The Powerball jackpot was last won on March 4th of this year as a person in Virginia won an estimated $163 million.
