The man charged with firing a shot during a house party over IUPatty’s weekend is due in district court today for a preliminary hearing.
Indiana Borough Police have charged 19-year-old Donovan Sanders of Johnstown with felony counts of terroristic threats and carrying a firearm without a license along with misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment and simple assault in connection with the incident on March 25th during a gathering at a home on Wayne Avenue. Police say that he was in the home as a fight broke out in the house and he fired a shot into the ceiling. No injuries were caused by the gunshot.
Sanders was taken into custody six days later and was in Indiana County Jail until a $15,000 bail was posted by a professional bondsman. His hearing is set for 10:30 AM in front of district judge Guy Haberl.
