Homer City’s K-9 officer assisted State Police from the Kiski Valley barracks in finding a wanted individual from Fayette County.
K-9 Officer Thor was requested by state police to assist them in finding Bobby Louis Crosby, Jr., who was on the Kiski Valley station’s five most wanted list. Thor and Homer City Police Chief Anthony Jellison met with state police at the Loyalhanna Dam in Westmoreland County and started an active search as Crosby was seen jumping from the dam and running into the woods.
About 100 yards into the tracking operation, Thor found a hat that matched a hat in Crosby’s description, and after going another mile or so into the woods and over some rough terrain, Thor was able to find Crosby hiding in the weeds.
Crosby was taken into custody without incident.
