The dry and breezy conditions on Tuesday were perfect for brush fires, and three of them were reported by Indiana County 911.
The first was at 1:55 PM on Gas Center Road in East Wheatfield Township. Armagh and Clyde fire departments were dispatched at the time.
The second call was for some assistance from the Iselin Volunteer Fire Company as it was called out to Indiana Avenue southeast of Kittanning at 5:21 PM.
And Plumville Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched for a brush fire to Route 954 North in Washington Township at 7:25 PM.
Details on the damage from those fires has not been released.
Once again, the National Weather Service has issued a fire weather watch for Western Pennsylvania starting at 11:00 this morning and ending at 8:00 tonight. This means that critical fire weather conditions are once again predicted to be in our area, including high winds, low relative humidity, and dry ground. If conditions continue on this track, a red flag warning may be issued.
