BASEBALL
Undefeated United downed River Valley, 15-2. Caden McCully had a big day at the plate with three hits, including a homer run and a triple. He drove in three runners. Brad Felix had three hits, including a double and a triple, and two RBIs. Joe Marino, Travis Timko, and Conner Darr each had two hits in a 15-hit attack. Zack Travis got the win, giving up two runs in three innings, with Darr finishing up with two scoreless innings. River Valley hitters were held to just three singles on the afternoon.
Marion Center dropped West Shamokin, 4-2. Camden Rising’s second-inning sac fly drove in two runs and the Stingers got hits by Nick Pacconi, Dakota Bracken, Dalton Stenman, and Parker Black. Bracken got the win, throwing five shutout innings and giving up one hit while striking out six. Jude Olinger had two hits for West Shamokin.
Northern Cambria is unbeaten at 6-0 after cruising to an 11-0 win over Portage.
Penns Manor scored four runs in each of the first two innings and picked up its first win of the season with an 11-1 rout of Purchase Line. Kayden Detwiler led the way with three hits, including two doubles, and three RBIs. Connor James, Carter Smith, and Ashton Courvina each had two hits. Smith threw all five innings for the Comets, giving up one run on one hit with five walks and 11 strikeouts.
Indiana broke a 4-4 tie with two runs in the top of the 7th to beat Knoch, 6-4. Ben Ryen and Gavin Homer each had three hits for Indiana, and Ryen drove in four runs. He had a double and a triple. Conner Geesey threw the first three innings for Indiana, giving up one unearned run on three hits while striking out two. Homer threw the final four innings in relief and picked up the win.

Indiana JV is 8-0 after a 16-5 thumping of Knoch. Rocco Consentino and Caden Force each had two hits and Jacob Sexton had four RBIs. Force got the win, giving up one earned run.
SOFTBALL
United pushed across a run in the 7th for a walkoff 6-5 win over River Valley. Kylie Price had three hits for the Lions, including two doubles.
Just as the Penns Manor baseball team got its first win, so did the Penns Manor softball team, 16-1, over Purchase Line. The Comets had nine hits, all singles, led by Sarah Stiteler with three, and Alyssa Altemus and Allison Rhea each had two. Freshman Macey Pegg went the whole way in the pitcher’s circle, striking out seven.
Northern Cambria scored three in the 7th but could not catch Portage, which won their game, 11-9. The Mustangs’ five-run 2nd and three-run 5th helped them build their lead. Lyndsey Castel had three hits, with two doubles. Sydney Castel, Tori Harrison, Lily Koban, and Payton Noll each had two hits for Portage. For Northern Cambria, Alivia Yahner and Sarah Abel each had two hits.
