Emergency crews were busy Sunday, especially in the northern region of Indiana County as heavy rain made its way through the area.
Two flood-related calls were reported by Indiana County 911 Sunday evening as a Flash Flood Warning was in effect for the area. The first flood-related call went out at 6:17 PM for a flooded roadway on Route 119 in East Mahoning Township. Marion Center Firefighters say that the area affected was one lane of 119 in the area of Dollar General and the Rayne Drop Inn II.
A second flood-related call was reported five minutes later in the area of Route 85 in Rayne Township. Plumville fire department was dispatched for a flooded roadway.
As of this morning, both roads are clear according to PA 511.
Marion Center, Elderton and Plumville fire departments were also called out for reports of lines down throughout the day, and Altman fire department was called out for a fuel spill as a gas tank fell off a vehicle on Entry Road in Center Township.
