The Philadelphia Eagles have fined Wide Receiver DeSean Jackson for sharing an anti-semantic fake Adolph Hitler quote on Instagram.
The amount of the fine was not announced, but said the fine was for conduct detrimental to the team. On Monday, Jackson had shared the quote, and apologized for it multiple times on Tuesday. Jackson added that he would work with local and national organizations in an effort to be more informed.
The Eagles also released a statement on Twitter, saying they did not tolerate hate towards any individual or group and that they have had several constructive conversations with Jackson prior to his punishment being handed down. They also say they will continue to assist Jackson through the process.
