A road resurfacing project gets underway tomorrow on Wayne Avenue between the Route 119 ramp and Indian Springs Road in White Township, eventually expanding into and through Indiana Borough.
Starting at 7 AM, crews will begin the first phase of the work with milling and patching, minor drainage upgrades, and paving. This phase will last until about mid-May and traffic will be restricted to a single lane in each direction for daylight operations.
Future phases will include more paving along Wayne Avenue, South 7th Street, North 4th Street, Old Route 119, and Route 110. Box culverts on Wayne Avenue and Carter Avenue in the vicinity of the KCAC will also be replaced in the summer of 2024.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in October of next year.
Also starting tomorrow, a detour will be implemented at the Margaret Road intersection with Route 422 in Plumcreek Township, Armstrong County. Margaret Road will be closed between 422 and Sunken Valley Road, with the detour using Routes 210 and 85.
The Margaret Road intersection relocation project is scheduled for completion in June of 2025.
