PSP-INDIANA
State police in Indiana made one arrest related to a June 24th report of theft at the Coy’s Pizza restaurant in Center Township.
Reports say the incident occurred just after 5 p.m., when 27-year-old Clifford Camut of New Florence entered the restaurant and used some form of tool to break open the store’s skill game machine. Camut caused approximately $3,500 worth in damages to the machine, and he fled the scene in a 2004 Pontiac Vibe station wagon after another customer caught him in the act.
A Blairsville man is in custody after police discovered drug paraphernalia in his hotel room.
Reports say shortly after 2 p.m. on Sunday, hotel personnel contacted PSP-Indiana after an unnamed 30-year-old man checked out of his room at the Days Inn along Route 22 Highway West. After checking out, hotel staff found the paraphernalia inside of his room.
Troopers responded to the scene and found the man sitting on the bench outside of the hotel, at which point, he admitted ownership of the items found in his room.
Charges against the man were filed through the Indiana County District Court.
State police in Indiana are also looking for the person responsible for attempting to steal money from a Blairsville woman on Friday, July 3rd.
Reports state a bank account, belonging to the unnamed woman, was compromised after an unknown person used fake checks through the mobile application, Cash App, to put money into the account.
It was then reported that the woman’s debit card information was used to withdraw funds from her account, however the exchange in funds was stopped before the transaction could finish.
