Tuesday night, the Homer City Borough Council named one of its members as a representative to a county board to talk about Citizens’ Ambulance.
Joe Izzei, Jr. said that he was invited to a meeting at Indiana County 911 to discuss the future of the nonprofit ambulance agency, as they continue to need ongoing funding to survive. Council appointed Kenneth “Cal” Cecconi to the board. He said that he wants to see county residents pay taxes to support the organization.
The council was also notified of an upcoming fundraising chicken dinner for the Homer City Police Department’s K-9 officer, Thor. The annual event will be held April 22nd at the fire hall from Noon to 4 PM or until they are sold out of chicken.
