State police have filed additional charges against two men who were caught last week after crashing a stolen car during a police pursuit in White Township.
19-year-old Spencer Hayes and 20-year-old Frank Williams IV are now charged with robbery, criminal conspiracy, terroristic threats, theft, recklessly endangering, and receiving stolen property for their alleged roles in a home invasion break-in and assault at a home along Center Street in White Township last Tuesday afternoon. A third suspect, 20-year-old Thomas Lindsay III, is already charged in that robbery, and with pulling the trigger in a drive-by shooting targeting a man along North Third Street in Indiana later that same afternoon. He’d been involved in an argument with that man earlier. All of the suspects are from Philadelphia, although Lindsay also has an Indiana address.
Police said in original reports that the three men forced their way into the Center Street home and strip-searched a 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, searching them for narcotics, and that they stole their cellphones, $500 cash, some vape pens, and a small amount of marijuana.
All three suspects are being held at the Indiana County Jail. Lindsay, Hayes, and Williams were already scheduled for preliminary hearings before District Judge Guy Haberl on July 6th, with bond set for Lindsay at $100,000 and for Hayes and Williams at $50,000. Judge Haberl yesterday added $10,000 more bond for Hayes and Williams and scheduled preliminary hearings for them on July 9th.
