The Steelers have announced that they are working with high-risk season-ticket holders to ensure that their seat licenses won’t be canceled if they opt out of going to games because of coronavirus concerns.
The team says it will review the circumstances of each request from fans who would be at increased risk of getting the virus, and they won’t be penalized for legitimate concerns.
Last month, the Steelers said they’d sell only fifty percent of individual game tickets to help preserve physical distancing.
HERE IS THE STATEMENT FROM THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS:
We are continuing to work directly with those season ticket holders on an individual basis who felt they are uniquely affected by the current situation. We established a process to review circumstances to ensure those who have concerns will be handled directly so their season tickets are protected for the 2021 season. We are not canceling those season ticket holders accounts who have been approved through our process. Their tickets are on hold for the 2020 season without penalty due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
