The PA Department of Health released updated information regarding the Coronavirus statistics within the state this afternoon.
As of noon today, the number of statewide cases has increased to 85,898, a 402 case increase since their last update, which was released at midnight on Sunday. The Department says that 78 percent of those who contracted COVID-19 have recovered and 666,901 people have yielded negative test results.
When broken down by county, Indiana County has 104 reported cases with 96 of them confirmed and 8 listed as “probable.” In addition, Indiana County has 2,908 negative PCR tests, which have the ability to identify certain bacteria in a person’s DNA.
In neighboring counties, Westmoreland has 640 total cases, 615 confirmed, Armstrong with 73 confirmed cases, Cambria with 59 and Clearfield with 72.
Among the counties with the highest numbers of cases, Philadelphia leads the count with 21,512 reported cases and 21, 407 reported positive cases; Montgomery follows with 8398 positive cases; and Delaware County is next with 6,945 positive cases.
