Walter Glenn Patz, 83, of Blairsville, PA (Derry Twp.) passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020 in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.
The son of Gustav and Stella (Bolen) Patz, he was born June 23, 1937 in Cokeville, PA.
Walter lived his entire life in Derry Twp. and was a veteran of the Army and Merchant Marine.
He worked as a draftsman for FMC, Homer City, for 40 years, retiring in 1994.
He was a volunteer at the Chestnut Hill Senior Center, Blairsville, helping seniors with preparing their income tax and enjoyed collecting trains and coins.
Surviving are his daughter, Karen Cmar of Derry; three grandchildren, Michael, Aiden and Zane; four brothers, Wayne Patz of Indiana; William Patz (Monica) of Decatur, GA; Charles Patz (Judy) of New Florence and Robert Patz (Donna) of Blairsville; a sister, Margaret Honeywell of Mansfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joan L. (Kellerman) Patz on April 12, 2007 and a sister, Wilma Grace Killinger.
There will be no visitation. Services and interment will be private in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
