Two of IUP’s alumni have made a donation to help the university’s ongoing diversity and inclusion initiatives.
IUP alumni Tim and Debra Cejka have donated $350,000 as part of the university’s Imagine Unlimited campaign, as enhancing diversity and inclusion is one of the priorities of the campaign. The university’s Office of Social Equity will direct a number of the initiatives that will be funded by their donation. This will include cultural competency training for new and continuing students and employees, support for appropriate programs, the creation of a coalition for diversity, inclusion and equity to act as an umbrella organization for cultural, identity and civility groups and programming to recruit and retain diverse students and employees.
Other programs that will be funded by the donation include mentoring and counseling support, an inter-group dialogue program, and lectures and seminars to address diversity and inclusion.
