Pirates first-round draft pick Nick Gonzalez will be in Pittsburgh today to sign his contract, pending a physical. Sources say the Bucs agreed to terms with the middle infielder at the Number-7 slot value of $5,432,400.
The team is also expected to announce the signing of fifth-round draft choice Logan Hoffman, a right-handed pitcher from Northwestern State in Louisiana. Since he lives in Canada, he still has to work through travel restrictions before he can come to Pittsburgh.
