The Purchase Line School Board met last night and approved their budget as well, but district residents will actually see a decrease in their taxes.
The board approved a budget that includes $19,284,664 in revenues and $20,160,982 in expenditures. The deficit will be covered by a fund balance transfer of $876,318. While no tax increases were included in the budget, there was multi-county re-balancing of the millage rate. That means the millage rate for Indiana County went down by .01 mils, while Clearfield County residents will see a .06 mil increase to 8.15 mils for Indiana County and 64.97 mils in Clearfield County.
The board also approved the Athletics and Band Health Safety plan so that they can start their summer work. That plan will be posted on the district website. A plan for the return to classes will be discussed at a special meeting on July 6th.
