Work, Clubs & Organizations: Dan was a Blairsville High School Graduate. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He served as a clerk for U.S.P.S. in the Blairsville office for 30 years. Dan was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Blairsville for 71 years, where he taught the Young Boys S/S Class and was a member of the Mens Bible Class. Dan was a charter member of the Historical Society of the Blairsville Area, member of the National Association of Wood Carvers and a member of the Johnstown Post/Card Club. He loved Pirate baseball and Steelers Football. Dan was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed sending out get well greeting cards to people with flowers and calligraphy on the cover to people that were hospitalized and singing happy birthday to people over the phone.

Funeral:
First United Methodist Church, 50 S. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 1:00 PM. Rev. Mark Heckman & Pastor Dan Cunkelman will co-officiate. VFW Post #5821 & The American Legion Post #0407 will conduct graveside military services Wednesday afternoon in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
