More details were released concerning an incident Thursday morning where a student was hit by a car at the Homer-Center Elementary School.
State police from the Troop A barracks said that they were dispatched to the vehicle-pedestrian crash around 8:16 a.m., and upon investigation, learned that the pedestrian, identified only as an eight-year-old boy from Lucernemines, was hit by a vehicle by an unnamed 36-year-old woman from Graceton.
Troopers add that the boy’s mother was reportedly thrown forward during the crash while helping her son out of the car.
The boy suffered suspected serious injuries and was flown to a hospital for treatment where he was last reported to be in stable condition.
An investigation is on-going.
