DRUG POSSESSION
Indiana Borough Police have charged two people from McKeesport with drug possession following a traffic stop Saturday night.
Police say they conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Church Street around 11:22 p.m. and upon investigating the car, they found marijuana belonging to 20-year-olds Saahir Jones and Vondai Drake. Both were charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana through Magisterial Judge Guy Haberl’s office.
PHYSICAL ALTERCATION
Indiana Borough Police also charged two people from Indiana with simple assault following an incident on March 8.
Officers say they were dispatched to the 400 block of Philadelphia Street around 1 a.m. for what was initially deemed an incident of assault the previous night, but upon further investigation, determined it was an altercation between two men, later identified as 28-year-old Jordan LoPiccolo and 33-year-old Larry Bobish. Police add that LoPiccolo stole personal belongings during the altercation and later damaged them.
LoPiccolo was charged with theft, simple assault, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, while Bobish was charged with harassment. Charges were filed through Judge Haberl’s office.
