Emergency crews were called to the Homer-Center School District complex this morning for an accident involving a student.
Indiana County 911 dispatched the Homer City fire department, state police and Citizens’ Ambulance at 8:15 this morning to the parking lot behind the elementary school, which according to High School Principal Jody Rainey was where the accident happened.
The identity of the student was not released. The student was taken to the hospital by life-flight helicopter, which landed at the district’s practice field. Rainey also confirmed that the vehicle involved was not a district vehicle.
Homer-Center Superintendent Ralph Cecere, Jr. said that more information will be released to district parents later today.
