In a wild sprint to the finish after a three-hour storm delay, Webb Simpson ran off five birdies in a six-hole stretch on the back nine at Hilton Head and closed with a 7-under 64 for a one-shot victory over Abraham Ancer.
Daniel Berger and Tyrell Hatton tied for third at 20-under, and Sergio Garcia and Joaquin Niemann tied for fifth, one shot further back.
It was Simpson’s second win of the year and his 22-under par 262 was a record for the Harbour Town golf course. Simpson moved to #5 in the world. He also moved to the top of the FedEx Cup.
