The Belmont Stakes yesterday was won by favorite Tiz the Law, which wiped out the field by almost four lengths. Dr. Post was second. Max Player was third.
Tiz the Law is the first New York-bred winner of the Belmont since 1882. The horse will have plenty of rest headed to the second leg of the Triple Crown. The rescheduled Kentucky Derby is not until September 5th. The Preakness Stakes will race on October 3rd to complete the run for the Triple Crown.
