The Pennsylvania State Police released its total statistics for DUI-related arrests in 2019 earlier this week.
Police say troopers made 22,139 total arrests related to DUIs, 4,692 DUI crashes were reported and 1,044 Drug Reinforcement Expert (DRE) evaluations were conducted statewide last year.
When broken down by Troop, police report that Troop A – which includes Indiana, Kiski Valley and Greensburg troopers – totaled 1,600 DUI arrests last year, 369 DUI crashes and 5 DRE evaluations, which comes out to be the second fewest in the state.
Looking at highest amounts, Troop H – Gettysburg, Harrisburg holds the most DUI related crimes with 2,442 arrests and 457 crashes, while Troop D – Butler, Kittaning accounted for the most DRE evaluations with 227.
