SOFTBALL
In a non-conference game, Indiana beat West Shamokin, 9-7. Olivia Zimmerman was 2-for-3 and cracked two home runs, with 4 RBIs. Chloe McHugh had two hits. Addie Stossel was the winning pitcher. For West Shamokin, Leah Mondi had two hits, including a double.
The River Valley girls dropped a non-conference game to Mount Pleasant, 14-3, in 6 innings. Emmy Skirboll drove in all three Panthers runs. Ashley Pynos, Lilly Buckles, Brooklyn Furman, and Tori Foust all had hits for River Valley.
Homer-Center could manage only one hit in a 13-0 five-inning loss to Central Cambria. Bekah Marshall had the Wildcats lone hit.
Purchase Line doubled up United, 18-9.
BASEBALL
Homer-Center bashed Penns Manor, 15-4, in five innings. Braden Dunn was 4-for-4 with a double and 4 RBIs. Owen Saiani, Caden Vitalie, and Nate Birchal each had two hits, including a triple by Saiani, and he and Birchal each drove in two runs. Saiani also picked up the win on the mound, throwing four innings and giving up one run on one hit, striking out nine and walking two. Amin Lieb had two hits for Penns Manor and Carter Smith drove in two and had a double.
Evan Wiewora was 3-for-4 and Ben Messina had two hits and 4 RBIs as Northern Cambria beat Moshannon Valley, 14-5. Brad Valeira also had two hits for the Colts.
West Shamokin lost to Redbank Valley, 10-6.
Cambria Heights beat Conemaugh Valley, 13-12.
