Earlier today, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced the distribution of $10 million to support affordable housing projects in 17 counties, including Indiana.
The money is through the federal HOME Investments Partnerships Program, which provides funds to assist municipalities and local governments expand and preserve a supply of affordable housing for low and very low income residents. Indiana County is set to receive $300,000 to rehabilitate five existing owner-occupied homes.
The funds are provided to the Department of Community and Economic Development from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.
