State police in Indiana have issued reports on two accidents, one last Friday afternoon and the other on Saturday afternoon. In the Saturday crash, a Westmoreland County woman was injured.
An Allegheny County motorcyclist was unhurt but his passenger was injured Saturday in a collision with an SUV on Route 259 in Brush Valley Township. The accident happened at 4:22 PM 58-year-old Frank Filotei of McKeesport was following an SUV which signaled and slowed to make a left turn. Police say Filotei tried to pass unsafely and hit the front bumper of the SUV. His passenger, 55-year-old Mariann Scott of Yukon, was taken by Citizens Ambulance to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown. The other vehicle’s driver, 41-year-old Kristy Hack of Havertown, Delaware County, was not injured.
A New Alexandria man escaped injury Friday in a rollover crash on Strong Road in Black Lick Township. Police say 40-year-old Ronald Bopp’s SUV crossed the road and hit a utility pole, then spun around and rolled over. Bopp was cited for bad tires.
