The Steelers made a flurry of roster moves over the weekend, and may be preparing to welcome back a former number one draft choice.
Linebacker Bud Dupree is reportedly scheduled to visit with the Steelers after his release this month by Tennessee. The 2015 top draft pick by the Steelers signed a five year contract with the Titans in 2021 but was let go after two injury-filled seasons in which he played only 22 games, recording seven sacks.
The Steelers re-signed tight end Zach Gentry to a one-year contract, signed yet another former Philadelphia Eagle, swing tackle Le’Raven Clark (the third ex-Eagles lineman signed this offseason); they lost safety Terrell Edmunds to the Eagles, wide receiver Steven Sims, who signed with the Houston Texans, and reserve offensive lineman Trent Scott, who signed with Washington.
The NFL has announced that voluntary offseason workouts can begin April 17th at team facilities across the league. Organized Team Activities (OTAs) will begin May 23rd and the Steelers three-day mandatory minicamp will begin June 13th.
