No one was injured in a DUI crash on December 16th on Cherry Tree Road. State Police say Ryan Bash of Commodore was driving around 3:13 in the morning on Cherry Tree Road close to Oak Tree Lane when he went off the road and into a ditch. Police suspect that Bash was driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance at the time.
Another crash was reported on the 16th. This time it was on Clay Pike Road in West Wheatfield Township. 19-year-old Casey Uadiski of Seward was driving south on Clay Pike road, just north of Southwell Road when his car swerved to avoid a deer in the road. The car hit the deer, and came to a stop along the right shoulder of Clay Pike Road, facing south. No one was injured
State Police have charged a Jasper, Georgia man with careless driving for an incident on Sunday on Route 22 in Burrell Township. Police say that as Timothy Drollinger was going north on Pine Ridge Road at a high rate of speed, and got to where the road turned onto route 22 at a T-style intersection. The car slid for about 275 feet before hitting a cement barrier, and after impact, it skidded east another 50 feet before coming to rest in the right lane of 22. Drollinger escaped injury.
Two people from Creekside are charged with harassment after a fight on December 16th. Police say this happened around 5:15 PM at the Oak Tre Trailer Park in Washington Township. 35-year-old Dwanna Baxley and 30-year-old Ernest Laney were the two involved in the fight. Charges were filed at District Judge George Thachick’s office in Clymer.
