An Indiana man entered guilty pleas in federal court on Thursday for federal drug-related crimes.
According to Acting U.S. Attorney Troy Rivetti, 51-year-old James Emmanuel Everson pleaded guilty to two counts related to incidents on February 15th and March 3rd of last year where he possessed and distributed over 50 grams of methamphetamine. The Indiana County Drug Task Force assisted the FBI Southwest Pennsylvania Safe Streets Task Force and the FBI-Laurel Highlands Resident Agency in the investigation.
He is scheduled to be sentenced in this case on June 7th of 2023. He faces prison time between five and 40 years, a fine of $5 million or both for each count. His actual sentence will be based on the seriousness of the offense and any prior criminal history.
