Steelers offensive lineman Matt Feiler and nickelback Mike Hilton signed their restricted free agent contracts yesterday. They each had until Monday to sign the offers or risk the Steelers pulling them and retain them by simply giving them 110 percent of last year’s salary. Agent Drew Rosenhaus says Hilton is still hoping for a multiyear deal before the season starts.
Feiler played his college football at Bloomsburg. He’s started all but one of the team’s last 26 games, mostly at right tackle.
The NFL has extended virtual offseason programs for teams an additional 15 days through June 26, but no further than that date. Players that aren’t rehabbing injuries are still barred from team facilities.
