With the MLB Draft on Wednesday, yet another draft predictor has weighed in on the Pirates’ pick at number seven overall. MLB.COM projects the Bucs to take Reid Detmers, a left-handed pitcher out of the University of Louisville. The six-foot-two southpaw was a Golden Spikes Semifinalist in 2019 and was 3-and-0 with a 1.23 ERA before the 2020 season was halted.
West Allegheny standout Austin Hendrick is being projected to go number 16 overall to the Chicago Cubs.
