Three fires were reported on Tuesday in Indiana County, including two brush fires.
The first fire that was reported was a vehicle fire at 12:07 PM on Route 259 in West Wheatfield Township. The Clyde and Armagh-East Wheatfield fire departments were dispatched along with Citizens’ Ambulance and State Police from the Indiana barracks.
The first of the two brush fires was reported at 1:54 PM along Tonkin Road in Rayne Township. Creekside and Indiana fire departments were dispatched at the time. Indiana fire department would be called out for a second brush fire along Philadelphia Street in White Township at 4:31 PM. This marks 30 brush fires in Indiana County over the year so far.
The Indiana fire department was called out at 6:06 PM to assist fire crews with another brush fire outside the county lines.
Also reported yesterday was a vehicle accident on Route 954 in Washington Township. Creekside and Plumville fire departments were called out at 2:43 PM.
