Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has approved a plan for Muirfield Village Golf Club to have fans in attendance for the Memorial next month, making it the first PGA Tour event with a crowd since the coronavirus shutdown on March 13.
The John Deere Classic had previously been the first possibility for fans until it decided last week to cancel this year’s event. In a statement, the Memorial praised DeWine and his staff and said it would work with state, county and local officials to ensure that safety is upheld.
