In other business, the commissioners approved a 2% rate increase for privately-paid-for rooms at the Communities at Indian Haven. That rate increase will not go into effect until March of next year. The commissioners also approved an equipment and service agreement with Vigilnet America to receive ankle monitors for the probation department. The monitors can be used to not only track people, but can also measure alcohol levels through contact with the skin.
