Two people were hurt in a crash in White Township on Thursday. State police say that at 11:41 in the morning on May 28th at the intersection of Ben Franklin Road and Lowe’s Plaza. 70-year-old Robert Frailey of Kittanning was driving North on Ben Franklin Road going about 35 to 40 miles an hour while a car driven by 83-year-old Elizabeth Sabol of Creekside was trying to exit the Lowe’s plaza and turning left onto Ben Franklin Road while she had the green light. Frailey ran the red light and the two hit nearly head on. Both had suspected minor injuries and were taken to IRMC by Citizen’s Ambulance for treatment.
State Police are investigating a theft from a motor vehicle in Brush Valley. Troopers say on May 13th at 10:45 AM, an unknown thief went to a car parked on Route 56 East in Brush Valley Township and took several items from the car, including a coin purse, a tri-fold wallet, a $27 Wendy’s gift card, a key fob for a Subaru station wagon, a Visa credit card, and about $30 in change. The unknown thief tried to take items from some other nearby cars. The victims were identified only as an 83-year-old man and a 70-year-old man, both from Brush Valley.
