The Artist’s Hand in Downtown Indiana is showcasing a former Indiana High School art teacher in their first exhibition open to the public after reopening from the coronavirus crisis.
The new exhibit is called “Fading Fast: A New Look At Something Old” and features artwork from HK Miller as he takes a look at iconic rural subjects in and near Indiana County. The project was inspired by oil painter Charlie Hunter. Since his retirement from teaching in 2006, he has been painting full time.
Due to concerns over Covid-19, no gallery reception was held when the exhibition opened earlier this week, but a video tour and an interview with Miller is on the Artist’s Hand website, www.artistshandgallery.com/exhibit. The gallery is open to the public from 9-5 Monday through Saturday.
