State police have arrested a Cherry Tree man in connection with a domestic dispute on Wednesday in Montgomery Township.
Police say that on May 27th around 11:43 PM, troopers were dispatched to a home in the 1900 block of Cherry Tree road for the incident and discovered three victims, two women and a boy, all from Cherry Tree. The victims said that 38-year-old Alvin James Keith, Jr. had pushed and punched one of the women, shoved the other woman and hit the boy. Police then went to Keith’s home. Keith had opened the door to police but when they told him he was under arrest, Keith retreated into the home and locked the door behind him. Police then forced their way in, but Keith continued his retreat into a bedroom. After a brief period of negotiation, Keith exited peacefully and was taken into custody.
Keith faces charges of simple assault, resisting arrest and harassment. He was arraigned and released on $5000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for July 6th in front of District Judge Christopher Welch.
