The two remaining Heritage Conference basketball teams advanced a step closer to their ultimate goals with wins in the second round of the PIAA playoffs on Tuesday night.

The Panthers (27-2) will take on Shady Side Academy (25-3), the No. 3 seed out of District 7, in the quarterfinals this Friday at a venue and time to be announced. The Wildcats (22-7) will battle Sacred Heart (15-9), the No. 2 seed out of District 1, also at a venue and time to be announced, and that game will air on WCCS FM 101.1 and AM 1160.
