Festivities will ramp up today for the Homer-Center Wildcats and their fans as they get ready for the PIAA Championship game in Hershey tomorrow.
The Wildcats will play the Jeanette Jayhawks on Thursday at 1:00. Today, the team is heading out to Hershey, and they will be sent off once again with a small rally. Homer-Center School officials have deemed today a “Wildcat Pride” day and are encouraging everyone to wear their Wildcat gear to school. The team is scheduled to leave the school around 10:00 AM today, and will board the bus to Hershey around 9:50. Students from Homer-Center’s schools will line the parking lot and show their support for the team, and the public is once again encouraged to take part by lining the streets for the bus trip out.
Because of tomorrow’s game, there are a few schedule changes. First, the Homer-Center School Board reorganization and planning meeting set for tomorrow night was moved to tonight at 7:30 at the central office board room. Also, the band and choral concert for Homer-Center originally scheduled for December 7th was moved to December 17th at 2:00 PM in the High School Auditorium.
Finally, school is cancelled for Homer-Center Students only tomorrow to allow fans to head to Hershey to watch the game in person.
