PSP-INDIANA
State Police have charged an Indiana Man with several thefts and thefts from motor vehicles over a six-month time span. Police say that they charged 28-year-old Robert Dale Bender with thefts from 42 vehicles from April through September of this year. This includes eight thefts where he allegedly stole firearms. The thefts happened in Indiana, Homer City and in White Township. Charges were filed with District Judge Susanne Steffee’s office. Bender is currently awaiting a preliminary hearing.
A Texas man has been charged by state police with drug-related crimes that came from a traffic stop in late October. Police say that they pulled over 31-year-old Joseph Paul Acker of Celina, Texas on Route 286 in Center Township for a traffic stop. Police found that Acker was in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed with District Judge Susanne Steffe’s office.
State Police are investigating a theft that happened at a craft show in the Indiana Mall. Police say that between 5:45 and 6:00 PM on October 28th, an unknown thief stole two different necklaces from a table set up at the craft fair. The necklaces were valued at $209 and belonged to a vendor from the Bellevue area.
