Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning held on to defeat Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady 1-up in “The Match,” a charity event at Medalist Golf Club in Florida that raised over $20 million for coronavirus relief.
Woods and Manning jumped out to a 3-up lead through the first nine holes that was played in a best-ball format, but Mickelson and Brady made a late charge on the back nine when the rules changed to alternating shots. Woods clinched the victory, however, by sinking a long birdie putt on the 18th hole.
