There’s a made-for-TV golf event today, called “The Match: Champions for Charity”. Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning will team up against Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady in a best-ball competition at the Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Florida.
Woods has not played a public golf event since February 16, as he skipped four events due to his lingering back problems.
Highlighting the TV coverage will be Charles Barkley in the broadcast booth (TBS, TBNT, TruTV) and PGA star Justin Thomas making his debut as on on-course reporter.
The PGA Tour resumes June 11 at Colonial in Fort Worth, Texas.
