INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
An 18-year-old Darby woman was charged with retail theft and underage drinking for an incident earlier this morning. Indiana Borough Police say Lydia Cruz was in a store in the 700 block of Wayne Avenue and they found out she consumed an item in the store without paying for it, and also was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. She was issued two citations and later released to a sober adult.

State Police are investigating a theft that happened at a home in Burrell Township in August, and have charged one person in connection with that theft. Police say that a 54-year-old woman from Blairsville had purchased a Moneygram worth $588 to pay PennDOT, but the Pay-To-The-Order area was left blank. When she was unable to find the moneygram, she started to make inquiries, and found that Vince Lamar Skillings of Derry cashed the moneygram without her knowledge. It’s not known at this time how Skillings got his hands on the moneygram. He is charged with receiving stolen property, but more charges could come as the investigations continue. An Indiana Man faces a PFA Violation charge for an incident on Airport Road in White Township. State Police say on November 20th, 29-year-old Derek Colberg was in the presence of the victim, an un-named woman from Indiana. He was taken into custody without incident on the scene, and Colberg was subsequently lodged in Indiana County Jail.
Two people from Heilwood now face charges of burglary from a case in mid-November. State Police say this happened in Heilwood, as 37-year-old Alfred Painter and 34-year-old Bridget Boychuck entered Weiland’s home and stole various personal items. The two were charged with Burglary and Theft, and they were placed in Indiana County Jail.
