Citizen’s Ambulance Service paramedics have become part of the front line of the battle against Coronavirus.
Citizen’s has had to change how they serve the public as Coronavirus came into Indiana County. While extra procedures and protective equipment may seem daunting, EMT’s like Dakota Leone said that they have gotten used to it.
Paramedic Steve Zolosick say that they have gotten to the point where they treat every call like there is the potential of Covid-19.
Some of the measures put in place by Citizens have been pairing up people with permanent partners, and upgraded cleaning operations when it comes to their vehicles, including the use of isolation vehicles, as explained by Citizen’s Director of Operations Randy Thomas.
As we enter the next phase of the Governor Wolf’s reopening plan, Thomas said that everyone should continue the fight against Covid-19 by continuing to be vigilant, wearing masks in public and avoiding large gatherings.
