The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported today that the number of people who tested positive for Covid-19 in Indiana County increased by four in the last 24 hours to 82 cases. The number of deaths attributed to Covid-19 in the county remained at five.
Indiana – the 15701 zip code – has the most positive cases with 23. The county has 22 ventilators. None are in use.
Among neighboring counties, Westmoreland reports the most positive cases increased by three in the last 24 hours at 422, with no change in the number of deaths (32). Armstrong County’s total of positive cases stayed the same at 56 and deaths remained at five. Jefferson County stayed at seven positive cases. Cambria County remained at 45, with one death.
The number of positive cases in Pennsylvania reached 59,636, an increase of 938 from Wednesday. The 26 to 49 year old age group has the most positive cases with 37 percent of the 59,636 cases. Reported deaths in Pennsylvania attributed to confirmed cases stand at 4,218, an increase of 275 in the last 24 hours.
These positive tested totals reflect how many people have tested positive since the Department of Health started recording and not how many people are currently ill.
While 59,636 have tested positive in the state, 251,559 have tested negative. In Indiana County, have 938 tested negative.
