The White Township Supervisors once again had a lengthy conversation with the “Friends of White’s Woods” concerning the upcoming removal of invasive plant species.
Many of the concerns that were brought up concerned the project’s purpose, with the group saying that the project is a commercial logging project. Township Manager Milt Lady reiterated that it is not a logging project but a removal of invasive species. Lady added that if the township were to see any profits from the project, they would go back into White’s Woods.
In other business, Lady offered an update on the Green Light Go project at the intersection of Ben Franklin, Warren and Indian Spring roads. The two original poles for the project are now being inspected and are expected to arrive in early June. The delay in production was due to the coronavirus pandemic.
