During the Clymer Borough Council meeting on Tuesday night, the council accepted, with regret the resignation of borough policeman Hunter Scherf.
Scherf has accepted another job elsewhere, but Council President Louis Tate says that he was well respected and was a great addition to the Police Department.
In other business, it was mentioned that two Clymer Borough Street Department employees were furloughed due to lack of work from both the bad weather in the area and over coronavirus. Tate said that until the pandemic subsides or the weather improves, it made sense to furlough the employees.
